KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The IUPUI men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend cluster with a 4-0 sweep of Centenary Sunday morning at the Carriage Club. The Jaguars received wins from
Gabriel Garcia,
Gregory Sosa,
Jorge Yunes and
Jesus Diaz.
Yunes went 2-1 over the weekend after defeating his opponent from Centenary in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Garcia and Sosa both were 1-0, as each of their previous two matches failed to conclude.
Each IUPUI player took a set in the victory, as #E.J. Dechow# led, 7-6(4), 3-6, 4-0 when play ended. Likewise,
Blake Powers was ahead, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 when the Jaguars took their fourth matchup to claim the victory.
The Jaguars will take a week off before resuming play in Macomb, Ill., when they wrap up the regular season with a Summit League cluster hosted by Western Illinois. IUPUI will take on IPFW at 9:00 a.m. CT on April 11, while playing Oral Roberts the following day and South Dakota State on the 13
th.
