INDIANAPOLIS -- Having played two of their best offensive games of the season last week, the IUPUI women's basketball team will look to avenge an early-season loss to Southern Utah when the two teams meet at 7 p.m. tonight in The Jungle.

IUPUI (10-12, 6-4 Summit) has climbed The Summit League standings in the last three weeks, winning five of their last six games to move into a tie for third place entering tonight's game.  On Saturday, the Jaguars routed UMKC, 65-47, with Jernisha Cann, Julia Whitted and Nicole James all scoring in double figures.

Cann and Whitted each had 19 points to lead the team and help IUPUI control the interior.  James had 16 points, sparking an early run that put the game away early.

The Jaguars will be looking to repay the Thunderbirds for a 61-56 defeat on Jan. 5 at Centrum Arena.  IUPUI had six opportunities to tie the game or take the lead, but could not convert down the stretch.  Erin Heuett led the T'birds with 21 points.

Southern Utah (5-16, 3-7 Summit) is led by Anne Westwood, who is averaging 11.1 points and 8.7 rebounds.

Cann will have the opportunity to move into second place on the school's career rebounding list, needing five boards to pass Kristen Pritchett.  With three steals, Cann will also pass 2008 Hall of Famer Tiffany Kyser for sixth in women's basketball history.
