INDIANAPOLIS -- Forced to skip doubles play due to time constraints, the IUPUI men's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Southern Illinois Saturday evening at the Indianapolis Tennis Center.
Blake Powers recorded the lone win for the Jaguars.
Playing at No. 6, Powers took the first set, 6-2, before dropping the second, 4-6. In the super tie-break, Powers showed his mettle, winning 10-5 to pick up the win.
The Jaguars will be back on the court on Friday, March 7, when they will travel to Champaign, Ill., to take on Eastern Illinois. The match will begin at 6 p.m.
