ROCHESTER, Mich. – Looking to keep their lead in the race for The Summit League’s No. 2 tournament seed, the IUPUI women’s basketball will visit the Athletics Center O’Rena for a critical Summit League matchup versus Oakland. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
IUPUI (13-14, 9-6 Summit) is coming off a two-game weekend sweep of Oral Roberts and Centenary, wins that pushed the Jaguars to fourth place in the conference and in line to receive The Summit League’s No. 2 seed.

Jernisha Cann picked up Summit League Player of the Week honors following the wins, averaging 18.5 points and 14.5 rebounds. The Kansas City, Mo.-native became the 18
th IUPUI women’s basketball player to score 1,000 career points during the Centenary game and now has 1,008 points in her career.
Oakland (15-9, 8-6 Summit) met IUPUI back on Jan. 28, 2008 in The Jungle; a game in which the Jaguars rallied for a 64-61 win over the Golden Grizzlies.
Christina Cunningham scored the tying basket, then came away with a steal with 31 seconds on the clock. The senior then drove the lane for the go-ahead basket with 12 ticks remaining.
The Grizzlies will look to Jessica Pike, Melissa Jeltema and Hanna Reising on the offensive end. Pike is posting 16.3 points per game, while Jeltema and Reising are chipping in 12.8 and 12.7 points per game, respectively.
Sitting one-half game behind IUPUI, this game will go a long way towards determining seeding in The Summit League Tournament, which begins March 8.
