JAGUARS FINISH FOURTH AT UC SPRING INVITATIONAL

OXFORD, Ohio - The IUPUI men's golf team got a second straight day of solid play en route to a fourth-place finish at this week's UC Spring Invitational, held at the Hueston Woods Golf Course in Oxford, Ohio.

Northern Kentucky moved from fourth to the team title on day two, finishing at 589 in the 36-hole event. IUPUI turned in a 595, marking the third-best 36-hole score in the program's history.

On Tuesday, senior Todd Glowacki led the way, firing a second round 70, finishing tied for 11th at 148 (78-70). Teammate Ian Pavlechko struggled on day two, but also tied for 11th with a four-over 148 (70-78).

Freshman Josh Baldwin continued his solid spring with a 150 (77-73), while Brandon Smart and Tyler Zink closed with identical 153's (74-79).

Texas finished second at 590, while host Cincinnati turned in a 591. Texas' Farren Keenan dominated the field on his way to medalist honors, finishing with a seven-under 137. His closest competition came from Detroit's Mark Sommerfield, who finished four shots off his pace.

The Jaguars will continue their string of consecutive tournaments when they take part in the WIU Harry Mussato Classic on Apr. 6-7. IUPUI won the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament in 2005 at the Harry Mussato Golf Course.
