TOLEDO, Ohio – The IUPUI men’s tennis team took the University of Toledo to three sets twice, but fell, 7-0, late Saturday evening at the University of Toledo Tennis Center.
Gabriel Garcia and
Gregory Sosa narrowly fell in their No. 1 doubles match, losing a tie-break 5-7 before the Jaguars were swept in the singles competition.
Garcia, playing at No. 2, dropped a three-set match to Toledo’s Sven Burus, 2-6, 6-2, 3-6, while
Blake Powers fell in three sets at No. 5, 2-6, 6-4, 0-1 (4).
IUPUI will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 16, when they will play host to Youngstown State. The match will begin at 6 p.m.
