INDIANAPOLIS -- The IUPUI women's basketball team will take on the second of five opponents who appeared in the 2008 NCAA Tournament when Cornell visits The Jungle on Saturday.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.

IUPUI (2-1) is coming off of one of their strongest defensive efforts in recent years, holding IU-Southeast to 40 points and outrebounding the Grenadiers, 49-26.  The 49 boards were the most by the Jaguars since Jan. 23, 2006, when they grabbed 57 against Centenary.

Jernisha Cann posted her second straight double-double in the 66-40 win, grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with 14 points.  Cann is currently sitting at 889 career rebounds and holds the IUPUI school record for career rebounds.

Prior to the contest, IUPUI Athletics Hall of Fame member Tiffany Kyser will present Cann with a commemorative ball marking Cann's achievement.

In the win over IU-Southeast, Nicole James emerged to match her career high with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting.  Julia Whitted also seemed to be breaking out of a cold spell, finishing the night with 14 points and 10 boards in just 21 minutes of play.

Cornell (1-1) comes to Indianapolis as the defending Ivy League champion; the Big Red fell at Duquense in their season opener, but defeated the Great Danes of Albany, 50-46, on Wednesday night.  Allie Fedorowicz scored 19 points in the win and is leading the team with an average of 14.5 points per game.
