CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The IUPUI women's basketball team will look to capitalize on the momentum from their 58-55 win over Northern Illinois when they resume Summit League play at Southern Utah on Saturday at 5 p.m. MST (7 p.m. EST) from Centrum Arena.

The game will be featured as the Game of the Week on the women's side on SummitTV.

IUPUI (4-9, 0-1 Summit) snapped a six-game losing streak with their 58-55 win against Northern Illinois last Saturday.  The Jaguars dominated inside, getting 16 points from Julia Whitted to outscore the Huskies, 36-14, in the paint.  Two freshmen - Brittany Ransom and Nicole James - played key roles.  Ransom chipped in a career high 10 points off the bench and James contributed 8 points - including the game-winning basket with 1:40 to play - in her first career start.

The Jaguars are led by Jernisha Cann, who is averaging 12.4 points and 9.6 rebounds to go along with 6 double-doubles in 13 games.

Head Coach Shann Hart will be coaching in her 100th game for IUPUI.

Southern Utah (2-11, 0-2 Summit) has struggled recently, dropping 10 of their last 11 games.  The Thunderbirds have lost twice this week, falling 72-71 to Portland State on Monday and dropping a 58-34 contest to Utah State Wednesday night.

Junior Anne Westwood leads Southern Utah with 12.1 points and 10.1 rebounds in 13 games.  Westwood is the only player in The Summit League to average a double-double to this point in the year.

IUPUI will fly to Kansas City, Mo., following the game to wrap up the weekend against UMKC on Monday.  The Jaguars and Kangaroos will face off at 7 p.m. CST (8 p.m. EST) from the Swinney Recreation Center.
