TULSA, Okla. -- After weathering another travel delay, the IUPUI women's basketball team will try to win their third straight Summit League contest, taking on Oral Roberts at the Mabee Center Monday night at 7:05 p.m. CT.
IUPUI (7-11, 3-3 Summit) has reached an even mark in Summit League play after forcing 31 turnovers in a 59-45 win over Centenary Saturday afternoon.
Jernisha Cann turned in her seventh double-double of the season in the win, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Turnovers should be critical against an Oral Roberts (10-7, 4-2 Summit) team that turns the ball over just 15.7 times, ranking 38
th among Division I schools. IUPUI opponents are averaging 19.6 miscues per game.
Cann and
Julia Whitted will be tested down low by The Summit League's Preseason Player of the Year in Jenny Hardin and Janae Voelker. Hardin averages a team-best 13.7 points and 6.1 rebounds, while Voelker leads the Golden Eagles in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game while chipping in 11.7 points.
Traveling to Tulsa yesterday, the Jaguars were diverted to Dallas-Fort Worth after arriving in Memphis, Tenn.. From DFW, the team was able to reach Tulsa and get some much-needed rest.
Last year, each team defended their home court, with ORU defeating the Jags, 71-56, at the Mabee Center, and IUPUI winning, 60-56, at The Jungle. All time, IUPUI trails the series, 7-11.

IUPUI will return to Indianapolis tomorrow to begin preparing for their weekend games against IPFW and Oakland. The Jags will take on the Mastodons at 4:30 ET on Saturday, Jan. 26. IUPUI fans are encouraged to 'Pack the House' for the game, as bobbleheads will be given away prior to the game.
