Gabriel Garcia and
Javier Saab lost at No. 1 8-3 while Sosa and #E.J. Dechow# lost by the same score at No. 2.
Jorge Yunes and
Blake Powers lost at No. 3 by an 8-1 count.
In singles, play was tight in the top four matches, with NIU prevailing in three of the four spots. Saab lost to NIU's Alex Freisen 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 2 position while Yunes lost 6-0, 6-4 at No. 4. Dechow dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision in his first singles action of the spring while
Jesus Diaz was swept away by Alfonso Monroy at No. 6.
The Jaguars (0-2) return home to host Dayton on Friday, Jan. 25 at the Indianapolis Tennis Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m..
