INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Department of Athletics announced that Head Women’s Tennis Coach Andrea Lord has announced her resignation, effective immediately, citing personal reasons.

In her four years at the helm of the IUPUI women’s tennis program, Lord took the Jaguars to the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament each season, as well as taking IUPUI to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament for the second consecutive year in 2004.

“Andrea will be sorely missed,” said Director of Athletics Michael Moore. “She has taken the IUPUI women’s tennis program to a new level. We will commence a search immediately to find a replacement who will continue the positive growth of the program.”

“I would like to thank Mike Moore and the IUPUI Administration for giving me the opportunity and support the past four years,” Lord said. “I’ve truly enjoyed my time at IUPUI and wish the program and student-athletes nothing but the best.”

Lord compiled a 62-31 (.667) record in four years at IUPUI, as well as going 27-4 (.871) in the Mid-Con. Eight different players were recognized as All-Conference performers, including four who were first team all-conference.
