Junior basketball player George Hill continues his strong hold on the IUPUI Male Student-Athlete of the Month award, winning for the third straight month in January. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged a team-high 21.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists over the Jaguars' nine games. He hit 53 percent of his field goal attempts and better than 47 percent from three-point range.

He helped IUPUI attain a 7-2 overall record during the month, while earning The Summit League's Player of the Week award twice in four weeks. IUPUI also continued its run among the CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Top 25 throughout the month.

Hill opened the month by scoring a career-high 34 points in IUPUI's come-from-behind 77-72 win in Kansas City. Two days later, he racked up 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Jaguars rolled past Southern Utah. 

He capped the month with 33 points in IUPUI's Jan. 26 win over IPFW. Hill closed the month ranking among The Summit League leaders in scoring (2nd / 20.5), steals (2nd / 1.90), three-point percentage (2nd / 47.8%), assists (4th / 4.38), free throw percentage (5th / 82.9%), assist-to-turnover ratio (5th / 1.56), field goal percentage (6th / 55.0%) and rebounding (7th / 6.4). 

He also continued to climb up the charts in the IUPUI record books, closing January ranked third in career free throws made, eighth in scoring, ninth in steals and assists and 12th in rebounds.
