Burk led IUPUI in scoring during the opening week of the season, averaging 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the season's first two games. He tallied 17 in his IUPUI debut at Butler on Nov. 6 before following up with 15 points and two steals at Bradley on Nov. 9.
