Murphy ran the quickest 3,000m time in the Horizon League this season with a time of 9:49.83 at the Meyo Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 8), which is nearly 11 seconds better than the previous best adjusted time in the league. She was runner-up in the event and just missed setting a new school record by less than a second. In doing so, she took 12 seconds off her previous best time in the event and became just the second runner in school history to go under 10 minutes in the 3K event.
