Whereas on the playing fields, championships are measured in terms of wins and losses; off the field, champions are measured by earning a degree from the University. WHY IU Indy ATHLETICS?
- IU Indy serves as an official host for all NCAA Tournament Championships located in Indianapolis and will have the opportunity for our sponsors to be involved with potential in-personal and broadcasted exposure to thousands of fans. Corporate partners will have the opportunity to purchase face value seats to these NCAA tournaments, such as both the men's and women's Final Four and regional rounds.
- IU Indy competes locally, regionally, and nationally against high-caliber institutions.
- IU Indy competes in the Horizon League - NCAA Division I - the highest collegiate division

- Over 30,000 students attend IU Indy, with students representing all 50 states and 122 countries
- IU Indy has more than 110,000 living graduates with over 71,000 living in Indiana - including over 50,000 residing in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas.
- IU Indy has 18 varsity sports with over 200 student-athletes; 78% of those student-athletes are from Indiana - the most among any in-state Division I school.

- During the last year alone, 117 IU Indy student-athletes were named to the Horizon League's Academic Honor Roll and the department recently achieved a 19th straight semester with a 3.0 GPA or better.
- IU Indy Athletics has gone four straight semesters with EVERY team achieving a 3.0 GPA or better.
- Jaguar student-athletes performed over 2,800 hours of community service including ongoing partnerships with Team IMPACT and the One Love Foundation.
- In 2017-18 alone, two IU Indy student-athletes were named Academic All-Americans and 11 were chosen among the university's Top 100 Students. Four IU Indy sports (men's golf, women's soccer, women's tennis and volleyball) received NCAA commendation for their perfect multi-year APR scores in 2017-18 as well.
- Departmentally, IU Indy ranked in the 98th percentile of NCAA Division I schools based on overall GPA.

We joined the Horizon League prior to the 2017-18 school year and our men's basketball team competes at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum for all home games.
