BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - The IU Indianapolis men's golf team finished off a fifth-place finish at this weekend's Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday (Sept. 13), posting a final round 292 to finish the 54-hole tournament at 865 (286-287-292). Junior Keaton Parmley registered his third career top-10 finish, closing the event at 2-under 214 (72-70-72) with three straight rounds of par or better. 

Host UNCG ran away with the team title at 838 and Radford was second at 857. Radford's David Goode collected medalist honors at 13-under 203 for the tournament. 

Senior Titus Boswell led the way in Sunday's finale with a 2-under 70 while Parmley fired an even par 72. Both Jack Scudder and Tommy Klinker were countable at 3-over 75 and Brady Schier had a final round 77. Freshman Nathan Springer posted a round of 76 while playing as an individual. 

Boswell mixed four birdies with a pair of bogeys while Parmley also made four birdies. Scudder had three birdies in his final round, including two on his first three holes of the day, and Klinker also made three birdies. Schier made birdie on his first hole of the final round and finished his day with 12 pars. 

Springer also opened his round with a birdie and had three straight at one point as part of his 4-over 76. 

Parmley made a team-high 12 birdies for the weekend and finished among the top-10 for a third time in his last four entries, dating back to last season. 

"It was nice to get off to a good start this week at a great tournament," Parmley said. "My ball striking was the strength of my game this week, which helped a lot to get some birdie opportunities.

"The team has a ton of potential to be great and I'm excited to see how the rest of the year goes."

The Jaguars will return to action on Sept. 26-27 when they participate in Ball State's Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational.
