INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis men's golf program and head coach Jamie Broce announced the additions of three in-state signees for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Jaxon Calhoon (Greenwood, Ind. / Indiana Digital Gateway Academy), Thomas Klinker (Fishers, Ind. / Fishers) and Nathan Springer (Greenwood, Ind. / Center Grove) will all join the program this fall as true freshmen and all ranked among the state's top high school players. 

"We're excited about this group of young men. We think our program is trending the right direction with a combination of older guys leading the way and a great group of young men behind them," Broce said. "These three guys continue to build on the group of young men in the program. They're all going to compete for spots in the lineup and push us to be even better."

Below are pertinent details on all three of the newest additions. 

Jaxon Calhoon
Greenwood, Ind. / Indiana Digital Gateway Academy
-Began his high school career at Roncalli before finishing through Indiana Gateway Academy
-Was Marion County medalist and Circle City Conference champion as a sophomore in 2023
-Earned All-Circle City Conference and Roncalli's Golf MVP Award as a sophomore
-Won three events on the Indiana Junior Golf Tour in 2024, including the Junior Tour Championship at TPC at Woodlands Trail
-Won the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event at Birck Boilermaker Golf Club

Thomas Klinker
Fishers, Ind. / Fishers
-Earned a pair of top-10 finishes on the Golfweek Junior Tour in 2025-26, including a sixth-place finish at Indiana University
-Finished t-15th at the 2025 IHSAA Boys State Finals as a junior with a 3-over 147 at Prairie View
-Sectional and Regional runner-up his junior season
-Earned six top-10 finishes on the Junior Golf Tour in 2024, including a runner-up finish at the Hoosier Junior Championships at The Legends
-Won the 2023 Junior Tour event at The Players Club

Nathan Springer
Greenwood, Ind. / Center Grove
-Two-time All-State performer at Center Grove
-Finished t-9th at the 2026 IHSAA Boys State Finals with a 36-hole 146 (74-72)
-Three-time All-Johnson County honoree
-Was 2025 Franklin Community Sectional winner at The Legends, winning in a playoff
-Was 2026 Regional runner-up
