Yanah Rolston and freshman
Olivia Aronhalt continued to lead the way for the Jaguar women's golf team at the Horizon League Championships on Sunday (Apr. 26).
Rolston carded a second round, 6-over 79 and Aronhalt shot 7-over 80 as the Jaguars posted a team score of 322. The Jaguars sit in seventh-place at 646 heading into Monday's finale while Oakland leads the way at 616. Three players are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 149.
Both Rolston and Aronhalt are tied for eighth overall at 155.
Rolston finished her round with seven straight pars and made 12 pars for the round. Meanwhile, Aronhalt continued to score well, making a team-high four birdies, including three on the more difficult front nine.
Freshman
Li (Sherry) Xia ended her round at 81 and senior
Reagan Sohn subbed in with a 9-over 82 to round out the scoring four. Sophomore
Cassidy Ayres ended her round at 85 after leading the squad at 39 on the front nine.
The Jaguars lead the field in par-3 scoring, playing them to 10-over for the week. The Jags are second overall with 15 birdies as Aronhalt has a tournament best nine through two rounds. Rolston has a team-high 24 pars and is four off the tournament lead.
The Jags will round out play, beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
