TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The IU Indianapolis women's track and field will return to action this weekend when the Jaguars participate in Indiana State's Pacesetter Sports Invitational at the John McNichols Memorial Track at the Gibson Track and Field Complex. The meet will consist of distance events on Friday (Apr. 3), followed by a full slate of events on Saturday (Apr. 4).
On Friday, sophomore
Ella Colclesser will compete in the 3,000m steeplechase while five other Jaguars will compete in the 5,000m event. Freshman
Kaylynn Bedel tops the entries, largely comprised of freshmen.
In the 1,500m event,
Grace Bragg comes in with a best time of 4:46.50 while
Carina Alanis has a personal best time of 4:59.38.
Junior
Journey Howard leads the hurdles group with a 100m hurdles time of 14.83 seconds and will also compete in the high jump. Sophomore
Pa'Shence Purnell has a best time of 15.23 seconds in the 100m hurdles. Freshman
Sarah Madi-Bouabre is tops among the sprinters with a best 100m time of 12.33 seconds and will also compete in the long jump at ISU.
Sophomore
Jahzara McAlister will run the 200m event while
Paige Schulte is slated for the 200m and 400m events.
