DEKLAB, Ill. - The IU Indy women's tennis team competed this past weekend at NIU Huskie Indoor Invitational. Sara Jankovic, Kallyhan Kadzinski, Calli Sokolowski, Chloe Bailey, Elle Kotre, Bella Duncan Hanan Awale, and Grace Lampman represented the Jags in singles play.
 
Jankovic fell in in the East Quarterfinals against Northern Illinois's Irmak Budak (6-3, 6-1). She then fell against Marquette's Maria Poon in the West Semifinals (6-2, 6-4). Jankovic won in the South Final against Chicago State's Camila Sanchez (6-3, 6-0).
 
Kadzinski won against University of Illinois's Edit Cosmo in the East Quarterfinals (6-3, 1-6, 10-7). She then fell against Northern Illinois's Malika Kabdesh (6-4, 6-3). In Playoff Finals, she won against Northern Illinois's Irmak Budak due to an injury (6-2).
 
Sokolowski fell in the East Quarterfinals against University of Illinois's Nia Cooper (6-2, 6-3). She then won against Marquette's Joelle Fiallo Schad in the West Semifinals (6-2, 6-2) She also won against Marquette's Aoiyana Abbott (6-0, 6-0).
 
Bailey fell in the East Quarterfinals against Northern Illinois's Nataly Miroslavova Ninova (6-2, 6-1). She then fell in the West Semifinals against Marquette's Aiyana Abbott (6-0, 6-3). Bailey won against Marquette's Joelle Fiallo Schad in the South Finals (6-3, 6-0, 11-9).
 
Kotre won her opening match against Judson's Erin Jacobs, in the East Quarterfinals (6-2, 1-0). She then fell against Northern Illinois's Rebeca Garcia Miralles due to an injury.
 
Duncan won against Chicago State's Danina Hughes in the East Quarterfinals (6-1, 6-2). She then fell against University of Illinois's Joanne Hartono (6-3, 6-1).  She fell against University of Illinois's Stela Vlaisavlijevic (7-5, 6-4).
 
Awale won in the Semifinals against Judson's Carla Guerrero (6-0, 6-0) She then won against Judson's Ruth Herandez (6-2, 6-2).  Awale  won against Chicago State's Danina Hughes (6-3, 6-2).
 
Lampman fell in the East Quarterfinals against University of Illinois's Paula Rodriguez due to an injury (6-4, 4-3). She also fell against Northern Illinois's Sophia Shlyakhta.
 
In doubles pairs representing the Jags were Sarah Jankovic & Elle Kotre, Hanan Awale & Bella Duncan, Kallyhan Kadzinski & Calli Sokolowski, and Chloe Bailey & Grace Lampman.
 
Jankovic & Kotre fell in the opening round of 32 against Northern Illinois's Malika Kabdesh & Nataly Miroslavova Ninova (6-2). They fell against University of Illinois's Anais Brion & Edit Cosmo (6-2). They also fell against Northern Illinois's Theodora Kousiou & Irmak Budak (7-5). Jankovic & Kotre won in the round of 16 against University of Illinois's Marta Halbersztadt & Charlotte Deletioglu (6-4).
 
Bailey & Lampman fell in the opening round of 32 against Chicago State's Mackenzie King & Karolina Skowronska (7-5). They also fell against Northern Illinois's Theodora Kousiou & Irmak Budak (6-0). The pair played one final match where they fell against University of Illinois's Paula Rodriguez & Stela Vlaisavljevic (6-3).
 
Sokolowski & Kadzinski fell in the opening round of 32 against University of Illinois's Marta Halbersztadt & Charlotte Deletioglu (6-1). The pair also fell against Northern Illinois's Sophia Shlyakhta & Rebeca Garcia Miralles (7-5). Sokolowski & Kadzinski fell against University of Illinois's Nia Cooper & Joanne Hartono (6-4). They played one final match where they fell against University of Illinois's Paula Rodriguez & Stela Vlaisavljevic (6-3).
 
Duncan & Awale won their opening match against Judson's Ruth Hernandez & Luciana Mendoza (7-6). The pair fell against University of Illinois's Marta Halbersztadt & Charlotte Deletioglu (6-2). They won against Chicago State's Danina Hughes & Nikita Liyanage (6-2). The pair played one final match where they fell against Judson's Charlie Stirling & Ruth Hernandez (6-3).
