Mason Taylor has been named #HLMSOC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the week ending Sept. 29. It marks the second time this season Taylor has collected the league's weekly award.
Taylor registered a shutout in his lone appearance of the week, blanking Oakland in a scoreless draw on the road on Saturday (Sept. 28). It marked just the second time this season Oakland had been shutout and the Marysville, Ohio-native faced 13 shots, making six saves.Â
For the season, Taylor lowered his goals against average to 1.14 on the season while upping his save percentage to .840 in his eight starts. The clean sheet was his third of the season.Â
