INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis Athletics Department released its 2024 men's and women's cross country schedules on Monday (June 24), highlighted by a home meet at Shelbyville's Blue River Cross Country Course on Sept. 20.
Head coach
Antonio McDaniel's women's team will run inside state lines in its first three meets of the season, competing at the Valparaiso Open (Aug. 30), Jaguar Invitational (Sept. 20) and Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational (Oct. 4). The Jags will then compete at the Falcon Invite (Oct. 18) before trekking to the Horizon League Championships in Green Bay on Nov. 2. IU Indy will cap the season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Norton, Ohio, on Nov. 15.

Justin Roeder's men's squad will also open with three straight meets inside the Hoosier State, running the Grizzly Invitational (Sept. 7), Jaguar Invitational (Sept. 20) and Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational (Oct. 4). The men's team will opt for the Bradley 'Pink' Classic (Oct. 18) before running the Horizon League Championships (Nov. 2) and NCAA Great Lakes Regional (Nov. 15).
The women's team finished fourth at the Horizon League Championships last season and bring back all-league performers
Julie Smith and
Ellie Cates. On the men's side, Roeder's team earned a league runner-up finish and eighth-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. This year's squad is keyed by the return of first team all-leaguer

Deion Guise and
Matt Mitsch.
