INDIANAPOLIS - Six members of the IU Indianapolis men's and women's cross country and track and field programs were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country Teams on Wednesday (June 19). 

The teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. To qualify, honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. In track and field, honorees must have a top 50 performance in the region on in cross country, must have finished among the top 50 at the NCAA Regional Championships. 

The Jaguars six honorees are listed below. 

Nate Kaiser - Sports Tourism Development CRT (3.51 GPA)
-Cross Country (31st in Region; 30:28.2)

Nick Perkins - Finance / Real Estate (3.57 GPA)

Eric Petersen - Mechanical Engineering (3.83 GPA)

Ellie Cates - Biology (3.53 GPA)

Madison Fry - Exercise Science (4.00 GPA)

Reese McCuan - Forensic & Investigative Science (3.71 GPA)
