INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis player Steven Paz earns this week's 92c Male Athlete of the Week after going undefeated in singles play to lead the Jags to back-to-back wins.
 
The junior from Rancho Mission Viejo, California started the week off with a singles win in the Jags' loss to Lipscomb on Sunday. He defeated Lipscomb's Facundo Perlov in the number four singles match, 6-4, 7-6.
 
Paz then went on to help lead the Jags to back-to-back wins on their spring break trip. He earned the number four singles point in just two sets against Lehigh's Sean Jaeger, 6-2, 6-1. Paz and his partner, Luka Rodic also secured a doubles win in the number two spot, 6-4.
 
In IUPUI's sweep over Lafayette, Paz earned the number three singles point in two sets, 6-4, 6-0. Earlier in that match, Paz and his partner Rodic once again earned their number two doubles win, 6-0.
 
This marks the first 92c Male Athlete of the Week award for Paz. Paz and the rest of the IUPUI men's tennis team will now travel to Chicago to begin conference play when they face Chicago State on Sunday, March 17.
