GREEN BAY, Wis. – The IUPUI women's basketball team fell to Green Bay in the Kress Center on Saturday, 71-52. The Phoenix shot 41.8 percent from the field while IUPUI shot just 38.9 percent. Rebounds proved the difference as Green Bay totaled 44 and held the Jags to just 29.
 
Junior Katie Davidson led the Jaguars with 18 points shooting 70 percent (7-for-10) from the floor while also adding two rebounds and two steals. Jazmyn Turner totaled 11 points while Abby Wolterman added seven rebounds.
 
Green Bay (19-5, 12-2 HL) got out to a fast start scoring the first ten points before Turner sunk a layup to put the Jags on the board. IUPUI cut the deficit to five with a 7-2 run, including a Jaela Johnson three-pointer. The Phoenix closed out the first quarter with a 10-point lead at 25-15.
 
The Phoenix took a 21-point lead, but the Jags cut that deficit back down to 14 with Davidson adding five points before the end of the first half at 41-27.
 
Out of the break, IUPUI outscored Green Bay 18-15 in the third quarter, shooting 53.3 percent from the floor and 2-for-5 from three. After cutting the lead to 56-45, the Phoenix held the Jags to just seven points in the final quarter to earn the 71-52 win.
 
With the loss, the Jags are now 5-18 and 3-11 in Horizon League play. They will complete the four-game road trip on Wednesday, February 14 at Northern Kentucky.
