INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis men's basketball program has announced its team captains ahead of the 2024-2025 season, as voted upon by teammates. The trio of Sean Craig, Jarvis Walker and Paul Zilinskas were voted team captains for head coach Paul Corsaro's inaugural Jaguar squad.

"We've got some really great leadership in our program and depth of leadership in our program," Corsaro said. "I know these guys don't take the leadership role lightly and we'll embrace the commitment and challenge of being team captains."

All three joined the IU Indy program from UIndy during the offseason after Corsaro's hire.

Craig played in 61 games at UIndy the past two seasons, averaging 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. He's expected to make an immediate impact for the Jaguars on the wings and in the frontcourt this season.

Walker is a graduate transfer, having played his first two seasons at Purdue Fort Wayne and the most recent two years at UIndy. While at UIndy, he played in 63 games, making 29 starts while averaging 10.6 points and shooting 43.3 percent from three-point range. Last season, he averaged 13.3 points, 2.1 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from deep.

Zilinskas is also a graduate transfer, having played his first three seasons at Quincy and last season at UIndy. He's a two-time All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honoree, including averaging 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He enters the season having scored 998 points in his collegiate career between Quincy and UIndy.

The Jaguars will open the 2024-2025 campaign as the first game in all of college basketball on Monday, Nov. 4 at 11:00 a.m. against IU Columbus inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum. As part of a partnership with the NCAA 'Readers Become Leaders' program, more than 3,500 elementary aged students from Central Indiana will be in attendance for Monday's opener.
