PEORIA, Ill. - The IU Indianapolis men's cross country team will run against a strong field at the Bradley 'Pink' Classic on Friday (Oct. 18) on ESPN+. The Jaguars are coming off a solid effort at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational and return to a meet that's typically been fast and fruitful for the Jaguars. 

The men's 8K white race will begin at 1:30pm CT (2:30 Eastern) and will include the Jaguars' open entries. The men's 8K red race will go off at 3:00 p.m. CT (4:00 Eastern) and include an impressive collection of competition. 

The Jaguars will continue to add pieces to their competitive roster as head coach Justin Roeder has yet to run his entire squad this season. At Notre Dame, Grant Moon led the way in the 8K race at 24:29.6 and Matt Mitsch clocked a time of 25:06.2. Redshirt freshman Luke Shappell ran a time of 25:12.6 and true freshman Riley Nixon made his debut in uniform as the team's No. 4 finisher at 25:26.0. Senior Mitchell Gits chimed in with a strong time of 25:41.2 and rookie Joey LaPatra was just off his time at 25:49.3. 

The five quickest 8K times in program history have come at the Bradley 'Pink' Classic, including Nick Perkins' school record time of 24:06.3. Nate Kaiser has run 24:06.5 and Moon spun a time of 24:07.1 at this meet in 2022.
