Box Score MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The IU Indy women's tennis team concluded their fall season this past weekend at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Ohio Valley Regional Championships hosted by Middle Tennessee State. Emma Dell and Chloe Bailey represented the Jags in singles play while Elle Kotre, Calli Sokolowski, Hanan Awale and Sofia Castillo joined Dell and Bailey in doubles play.
 
Dell opened singles play in the round of 64 in the qualifying draw. She fell to Cincinnati's Milica Popovski in three sets (6-4, 2-6, 6-2). The junior then fell in the consolation bracket to Miami's Lauren Joyce (6-4, 6-2). Dell played one more singles match where she fell to Cincinnati's Morgan Pyrz (6-2, 6-0).
 
Bailey also competed in the singles competition but in the main draw. She fell in the opening round of 64 to Louisville's Alice Otis (6-1, 6-1). She then fell in the consolation bracket to Xavier's Sofia Mazzucato (6-4, 6-1).
 
The Jags had three teams compete in the doubles portion of the tournament. Bailey and Dell teamed up where they fell in the opening round of 64 to Indiana's Lara Schneider and Nicole Teodosescu (8-1). They fell in the consolation bracket to Cincinnati's Pyrz and Sara Watanabe (8-1).
 
Kotre and Sokolowski teamed up in doubles play when they fell in the opening round to Vanderbilt's Amy Stevens and Naomi Katz (8-4). They also fell in the consolation bracket to East Tennessee State's Julia Millan and Ksenija Rage (8-2).
 
Awale and Castillo withdrew from their doubles match against Chattanooga's Madlena Orlova and Savannah Presson due to injury.
 
The Jags have now concluded their scheduled matches for the fall and will continue to prepare for the spring season.
