YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The IUPUI women's track and field team finished off the 2023 #HLTF Outdoor Championships on Sunday (May 7), placing eighth among the 10 teams competing with 37 points. Freshman
Modupe Awosanya collected her Alfreeda Goff Athlete of the Year Award and was voted the Fielding Freshman of the Year after winning the long jump earlier in the meet.Â
However, fatigue took over the women's team on the final day of the meet as individuals competing in two and three events did well to provide points to the team total.

Awosanya, who qualified for the finals in both the 100 and 200m events, placed eighth in the 100 (12.16) and fifth in the 200 (24.36). Sophomore

Kyla Kante made the finals of the 100m hurdles in her rookie campaign and placed eighth at 14.70 seconds.Â
Freshman
