FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Two members of the IUPUI women's track and field squad will kickoff the indoor slate on Friday (Dec. 1) as they trek to Fort Wayne for the Mastodon Multi Invitational. Sophomore Morgan Hoard and freshman Paige Laffoon will compete against athletes from Purdue Fort Wayne and Huntington for an early season pentathlon. 

Hoard closed her rookie season with a top pentathlon score of 2,650 points at UIndy's Tom Hathaway Distance Carnival as athletes compete in the 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m event. Meanwhile, Laffoon, a jumps and sprints specialist from nearby Attica, Ind., will make her collegiate debut on Friday. 

The meet is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. inside Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
