INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's tennis team recently hosted its first-ever Fall Invitational at the on-campus tennis courts over the weekend. The Jaguars went 6-3 in doubles play and collected seven singles wins over two days against opponents from Holy Cross (Ind.), Indianapolis and Lake Superior State. 

Meghan Bernard and Samantha Hayward both played their way onto the All-Tournament Team as both went 2-1 in singles and combined to go 2-1 in doubles as well. 

In addition to Bernard and Hayward's strong singles play, IUPUI also got a win from Marta Krakowski and first career collegiate wins from freshmen Sofia Castillo and Grace Lampman. 

Krakowski also collected a pair of doubles wins, teaming with freshman Emma Dell to defeat a tandem from Holy Cross and later teaming with Lampman to defeat another Holy Cross pairing. 

Bernard is coming off a season in which she won a team-high 13 singles matches while Hayward had eight singles victories last season.
