MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The IUPUI softball team outhit Robert Morris 5-2 but couldn't get a run across as the Colonials went on to win, 1-0. The Jags fall to 9-29 overall and 6-9 in the Horizon League.
 
Robert Morris (22-13, 11-3 HL) scored one in the bottom of the first inning. Alaina Koutsogiani reached on an error to start the inning off then later came around to score on a fly out to right field in foul territory to give the Colonials the 1-0 lead.
 
The Jags recorded five hits but couldn't plate a run. Ashley Shelton doubled, Rachael Gregory, Maicey Bedrick, Hailey Pop and Kendal Calvert each recorded a hit. Madison Bryant took the loss (L, 4-17) giving up one run (unearned) on two hits with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.
 
IUPUI travels to Rochester, Mich. to face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 20 with the first game starting at 1:00 PM.
