MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Jaguars fell in both games of the doubleheader today at Robert Morris. The Colonials beat the Jags in game one, 3-1, and followed that up with a 4-3 comeback win to sweep the Jags. Abbey Haas collected her third home run of the season.
 
In game one the Jaguars lost 3-1. The Colonials took the early lead with two runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. After a scoreless third inning, the Jaguars cut the lead in half to 2-1 in the top of the fourth frame. Maicey Bedrick reached on an error by the Robert Morris right fielder and came around to score the lone run for the Jags. Robert Morris collected one more insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning, 3-1.
 
Madison Bryant (L, 4-16) took the loss on the mound for the Jags giving up three runs on five hits with five strikeouts in six innings of work. Morgan Gilbert, Hailey Pop, Kasie Keyes and Jaylin Calvert all recorded hits in the game one loss.
 
In game two IUPUI was bested by Robert Morris, 4-3. The Jaguars had the lead early but couldn't hold off the Colonials.
 
The Jags took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Rachael Gregory singled to left field and Gilbert came around to score on an error by the left fielder. Pop then singles to right center to score Gregory and give the Jags the 2-0 lead. With Haas's third homer of the season, IUPUI extended their lead to 3-0 in the top of the fourth inning.
 
IUPUI couldn't hold off Robert Morris as the Colonials scored one run in the bottom of the sixth inning and three in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk it off, 4-3.
 
Isabelle Waggner took the loss in game two giving up four runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in six innings. Gregory went 2-for-4 with a run while Kendal Calvert went 2-for-3. Mackenzie Myars recorded a double while Gilbert, Pop, Keyes and Haas each recorded a hit.
 
IUPUI and Robert Morris finish out the three-game series with a single game tomorrow, April 16 at 1:00 PM.
