INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's tennis team will play host to Saint Louis (7-4) on Friday (Mar. 11) at 1:00 p.m. inside West Indy Racquet Club. The Jaguars will look to slow a red hot Saint Louis team, which enters play having won six straight matches, including three shutouts.
Head coach
Jason Suscha's team enters play wounded with a 1-10 mark, having dropped eight straight. The Jaguars' lone victory was a 5-2 romp of Bellarmine in January at West Indy.
Meghan Bernard leads the team with nine singles victories, including four this spring, while
Samantha Hayward is second on the team with six wins. She and
Sarah Lounsbury both have two dual match victories this spring.
In doubles play, Lounsbury and
Christina Stankovic have been a tough tandem, playing primarily at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
Mariona Perez leads SLU with 13 singles wins this season, including four wins at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. Lucija Faj is a perfect 5-0 at the No. 3 spot in the lineup and has won five straight matches.
