HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The IUPUI volleyball team played their final road game of the season on Saturday against Northern Kentucky. The Jags fell in straight sets, 3-0.
Emily Alan led the Jaguar attack with eight kills hitting .353.
In the opening set IUPUI fell to the Norse 25-17. The Norse came out swinging with three straight kills before the Jags earned three points with one of those coming off a kill by
Allie Pogue. NKU then went on a five-point run and didn't slow down taking the 1-0 lead with the first set victory.
In the second set the Jags stayed with the Norse until NKU went on a late 12-point run to seal the second set, 25-11. The Norse closed out the match taking set three, 25-15.
Alan collected eight kills with a hitting percentage of .353 while
Briana Brown totaled six kills hitting .267. Pogue also totaled six kills. Brown earned a team-high ten digs while
Sidney Veatch collected 14 assists.
Brooke Phillips continued her dominance behind the service line with three more service aces.
The Jags close out the season with two home matches next weekend when they host Cleveland State on Friday (Nov. 11) and Oakland on Saturday (Nov. 12).
