INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI junior middle blocker, Emily Alan has been named to the 2022 #HLVB All-Academic Team as chosen by the league's faculty athletic representatives and announced by the Horizon League office on Tuesday (Nov. 15). Alan was voted to the 13-player team for the first time in her career, she was voted honorable mention after her sophomore season.
 
Academically, Alan has maintained a 3.98 grade point average while majoring in exercise science. On the floor, Alan has played in 88 sets in 24 matches after battling an injury earlier in the season. She was fourth on the team in total kills with 164 and fourth in kills per set with 1.86. Alan has earned the third highest blocks on the team with 55. She totaled a season-high 13 kills against Bradley on Sept. 17. Alan has been named to both the Fall and Spring Academic Advisor's list for two straight years.
