INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI volleyball team fell in three sets to Wright State on Saturday evening, 25-22, 25-15, 25-11. Junior
Millai Madison totaled nine kills hitting .368 to lead the Jaguar attack.
In the opening set, the Jags won the race to twenty but lost the last nine out of ten points giving the Raiders the early 1-0 lead.
The Raiders came out in the second set and took an early 10-3 lead before the Jags brought it within five at 12-7 but attack errors proved costly for the Jags 11 errors compared to the Raiders three. Wright State won the second set 25-15. In the final set of the match the Raiders won 25-11 outhitting the Jags, .406 to .129.
Overall IUPUI hit .110 as a team with 31 kills. Madison led the way with nine kills hitting .368 followed by
Allie Pogue with eight kills and
Morgan Ostrowski with seven.
Addie Evans led the defense with 13 digs and
Sidney Veatch collected 15 assists.
The Jags are now 9-10 overall and 3-4 in conference. They begin a four-game road trip on Friday, October 14 when they face Oakland at 6:00 PM.
