Freshman
Brock Aten was just off his pace at 154 (76-78) as all four were countable in both rounds on Sunday. Sophomore
Preston Nanthavong rounded out the Jaguars' lineup with rounds of 83 and 85.
Collectively, IUPUI was among the day's best on the course's par-3's, but struggled to score on the longer par-5's on Monday. Aten and Baxter tied with a team-high five birdies while Gardner and McCullough tied with a team-high 20 pars.
"Today was definitely a grind. We knew going into it that there were going to be some holes where we had to just take our bogey and be okay with it," Gardner said. "I tried to stay as patient as possible and not give away any shots by sticking to our game plan."
Gardner finished with a birdie on his final hole of the day to cap his second round 74, which was the best by an IUPUI player on Monday.
Play will resume with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. IUPUI will begin play on hole No. 12.
