INDIANAPOLIS - Former IUPUI women's basketball standout Amber (Holle) Williams was among 18 players named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team earlier this week. Holle was among 13 who earned the award by being named to the 1997 Indiana All-Star squad. Holle, who starred at Seymour High School, began her collegiate career at New Mexico before playing her final two seasons at IUPUI.

She played two seasons for the Jaguars and averaged a team-high 15.4 points per game her senior season. She ranks third on the program's all-time list in career three-point percentage, hitting 37 percent of her attempts over two seasons. She still holds the program's record for most consecutive made free throws (25) and the single-game marks for three-point percentage (6-of-6) and free throw percentage (12-of-12). Her 14.2 point per game scoring average remains No. 7 on the program's all-time list.

She finished her high school career ranked No. 2 on Seymour's all-time list in scoring (1,210) and assists (351) and also grabbed 619 career rebounds. She was a four-year starter and four-year All-SCC, four-time all-sectional and four-time all-area honoree. She was Seymour's Most Outstanding Female Athlete as a senior after averaging 19.3 points and 8.4 boards as a junior and 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as a senior. She later played 49 career games at New Mexico before coming to IUPUI prior to the 2000-01 season.

She and her family now reside in Seymour.
