ROCHESTER, Mich. – IUPUI swimming and diving fell to Oakland in its final dual meet against a Horizon League opponent on Friday (Jan. 24). Despite the loss, the Jags had one of the best nights in the pool this season with multiple swimmers setting personal bests.

"What a great night for our program," said head coach Damion Dennis. "As a staff, we are so proud of how the team came together and competed with a ton of heart. The number of in-season and lifetime bests, both in the water and on the boards is a true reflection of the quality of work we have put in."

Overall, the Jags finished with 61 season-best times and 25 lifetime bests. As for the meet, the men's team lost 90.5-209.5 and the women were downed 107.5-192.5.

"From all aspects of the swimming and diving program we really showed who we are and I believe set ourselves up for the Championships," said Dennis. "February is going to be exciting."

The Jags will host one final dual meet before the Horizon League Championships as IUPUI will take on Xavier on Friday (Jan. 31) at 6 p.m. in the Natatorium.
