INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis men's and women's swim and dive teams finished up day two of the annual House of Champions invite Friday, Nov. 21. After the second day of competition, the IU Indy women's team remains at sixth with 875.5 points. The IU Indy men's team remains at first with 1484 points.
The Jaguars opened the evening with the 200 Medley relays. The women's A relay team of
Chloe Yerkes, Vicky Surdyka,
Addy Hirsbrunner, and
Luca McGee secured sixth with a time of 1:43.65. The men's A relay team of
Grayson Tidwell,
Logan Kelly,
Noah Van Zuidam, and
Hugo Arteaga had a fourth-place finish, with a time of 1:27.84.
In breaststroke events, Vicky Surdyka claimed sixth in the women's 100 breast (1:03.82), she also claimed sixth in the 50 breast (29.55).
Luca McGee followed with a finish in ninth with a time of 29.33.
Logan Kelly dominated with a record-breaking score in men's 100 breaststroke. He claimed first with a time of 52.20. He previously set the record on 11/22/2024 with a time of 52.52.
Zach Drotar followed, finishing in seventh-place with a time of 54.94.
Grayson Tidwell had a strong second-place finish in the men's 100 backstroke, clocking a time of 48.64. Delivering a major highlight for the Jags,
Zach Drotar secured a second-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 3:55.52.
The final day of swimming will resume tomorrow (Nov. 22) at 10:00 A.M. with the prelims. Diving will follow at 12:30 P.M. and day three will conclude with the finals starting at 5:00 P.M.
