INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis began its fall season taking on teams from the area over the weekend. Five Jaguars picked up a win in singles play and each doubles team earned at least on victory during the tournament.

In first day of singles play, Gabrielle Ochalik, Sarah Lounsbury, Marta Krakowski and Samantha Hayward all picked up wins. All four players on the first day beat an opponent from DePauw. Ochalik won her match 6-2, 6-2, Lounsbury won by a score of 6-2, 6-0, Krakowski won 6-0, 6-0 and Hayward won 6-4, 7-5.

In doubles play, Ochalik and Krystal Grubb combined for a 6-1 win over a team from Butler on the first day. On the second day, playing teams from DePauw, Ochalik and Grubb won 6-1, Lounsbury and Hayward won 6-1 and Krakowski and Matta won 6-4.

The Jaguars will be back on the courts on Friday (Oct. 11) and Saturday (Oct. 12) at the Eastern Illinois Invite.
