INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis returns home looking for its second Horizon League win as the Jaguars play host to UIC on Saturday (April 6) at 3:30 p.m. The match will be played at the West Indy Racquet Club.
The Jaguars fell in matches at Northern Kentucky and Wright State last weekend with both matches ended 2-5.
Meghan Bernard holds the best singles record for IUPUI with a 9-8 mark including a 7-4 record at the No. 6 spot in the lineup. Bernard has won three-straight matches for the Jags.
Christina Stankovic is second on the team with eight wins going 8-8 on the year including 5-5 in the No. 1 spot.
In doubles play, IUPUI's best spot in the lineup is the No. 3 spot where the Jags are 9-7 overall. Bernard and
Samantha Hayward are a combined 5-3 in that spot.
SCOUTING REPORT
UIC comes in to the match with a 14-4 record and is a perfect 4-0 in league play. The Flames are winners of their last 12 matches. UIC won its last league match 4-3 over Wright State but won 7-0, 6-1 and 6-1 in its first three league matches.
Four Flames have won double-digit singles matches this year with Rachel Le Comber holding an 11-2 record, including a perfect 8-0 record in the No. 5 spot. Le Comber has won 10-straight singles matches.
In doubles play, UIC is 11-7 in the No. 2 spot and 10-5 at No. 3.
Last season, IUPUI was swept 7-0 in Chicago.
