Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – IUPUI women's tennis snapped a four-match losing streak with a 4-3 win over Tennessee State on Friday evening (Mar. 15).
Both Samantha Hayward and Meghan Bernard finished the day with a perfect record as IUPUI earned its third win of the season.

The Jags (3-9) dropped the first match of doubles play but then got a win from Sarah Lounsbury and Christina Stankovic, 6-3, at the No. 2 spot. Bernard and Hayward combined for a 6-3 win at No. 3 to earn the Jags the doubles point.

In singles play, Krystal Grubb (6-1, 6-3) and Lounsbury (7-5,  6-1) put the Jags one win away from the match win but Tennessee State won the No 1 match to hold off the Jags win. The Tigers could not hold off the Jags for long as Hayward won her No. 6 match 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-2, to give the Jags the match win.

UP NEXT
IUPUI will play a double header on Friday (Mar. 22) with the first match against Marian at 1 p.m. After taking on the Knights, IUPUI will play its first Horizon League match of the season against Oakland at 5 p.m. Both matches will take place at the West Indy Racquet Club.
