INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis begins its 2019 home schedule with a match against the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday (Feb. 6) at 1 p.m. at the West Indy Racquet Club. The Jaguars will then hit the road for a match at Cincinnati on Friday (Feb. 8) before returning to Indianapolis to take on Dayton on Saturday (Feb. 9).

The Jags (1-2) are coming off of a 7-0 win against Valparaiso, earning its first road win of the season. IUPUI made quick work of the Crusaders as Meghan Bernard (6-1, 6-0) and Christina Stankovic (6-1. 6-1) only lost a total of three games in their matches. IUPUI did not drop a set in any of their four singles matches that were played.

Bernard leads the Jags in singles wins this season with a 2-1 record this season after winning her first match 6-4, 6-4 against Illinois State.

IUPUI and UIndy played last season with the Greyhounds taking down the Jaguars 8-1. While the Jags only won one match against UIndy a season ago, only one current Jaguar, Krystal Grubb, played in that match.

The last time IUPUI played Cincinnati was in the first match of the 2017 season and Cincinnati took down IUPUI 7-0.

IUPUI faced off against Dayton each of the last two seasons with Dayton winning both matches. The Flyers beat the Jags in Indianapolis 4-1 before beating IUPUI 4-0 in Dayton a season ago.
