Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – IUPUI women's tennis fell in a close battle against Belmont with a 4-3 loss to the Bruins.

IUPUI earned three wins in singles play with Mariella Pessina picking up the first win for the Jags at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1. Christina Stankovic earned another singles win at No. 2 at 6-1, 6-4. The final Jaguars single win came at No. 1 as Gabrielle Ochalik fought back for a three-set win, winning 4-6, 7-5, 10-4.

The Jags did pick up one win in doubles play with the team of Krystal Grubb and Ochalik winning 6-4 but the Jags lost the other two doubles matches.

IUPUI fell to 1-5 on the season on the road and will continue road play at Butler on March 1 with the match beginning at 5 p.m.
