CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off of its second 7-0 win of the season, IUPUI women's tennis will spend this weekend around Nashville, Tenn., with matches against Austin Peay on Friday (Feb. 15) and Belmont on Saturday (Feb. 16).
The Jags (2-4) earned their first win of the season against Dayton last Saturday (Feb. 9) taking the match 7-0. It was the second time this season IUPUI has won a match 7-0 after beating Valparaiso by the same margin on Jan. 27.
Against the Flyers, Dayton took the first doubles match but IUPUI battled back to win the doubles point. IUPUI closed out the match with straight-set wins by 
Christina Stankovic (No. 1), 
Krystal Grubb (No. 4) and 
Mariella Pessina (No. 5). The Jags finished off the sweep with three more three-set wins with all three wins coming after dropping the first set.
Redshirt freshman 
Meghan Bernard still holds the best singles record for the Jags at 4-2 with a 3-1 record when playing in the No. 6 spot. Both 
Sarah Lounsbury and 
Gabrielle Ochalik are second on the team with three wins each.
The most successful pairing for head coach 
Marisa Arce is Grubb and Stankovic who sit at 2-2 on the year.

Austin Peay
2019 record: 6-0
Austin Peay comes in to the match perfect on the season and has only dropped one point in their last four matches. Last season, the Governors beat the Jags 6-1. The top three spots in the singles lineup for Austin Peay are a combined 18-0 on the year with Claudia Yanes Gaines, Lidia Yanes Ganes and Tatiana Lopez all sitting at 6-0.
Belmont
2019 record: 3-4
Belmont is 3-4 on the year having lost its last match after winning its previous two. A season ago, Belmont took down the Jags 2-4. Currently, only the No. 3 singles spot has a winning record for the Bruins at 4-3. Peyton Lee is 3-1 on the season in that spot.
