INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI volleyball head coach
Lindsey Froehlich announces the signing of Madeline Haines to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday (Nov. 13). Haines comes to the Jaguars from Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
Haines boasts an extremely decorated high school career at Indiana Trails High School and Academy. Haines was a three-year captain at Indian Trail and as a senior was named First Team All-State in Wisconsin, as well as Southeast Conference and All Kenosha County Player of the Year. She helped lead her team to a regional championship and a sectional runner-up spot.
"Maddie has a great platform and is a very natural blocker," said Froehlich. "Her length gives her the ability to make some creative angles when attacking. You can tell she truly enjoys the game while she's on court. We look forward to seeing Maddie's positivity and versatility next season!"
Haines was and three-time member of the Southeast Conference First Team and All-Kenosha County First Team. She was also named Wisconsin All-State Honorable Mention. She finished her career with the varsity school records in kills (1,566) digs (1,348), aces (270) and blocks (194) as well as the single-season record in kills (501) and single match record in kills (32) and digs (30). Haines also appeared on the AVCA Phenom List and the Ultra Ankle JNA Watch List.
