 The IUPUI men's soccer team will continue its four-game homestand on Tuesday night (Oct. 22) when the Jaguars host Cincinnati (5-7-1) in non-conference action at 7:00 p.m. at the on-campus Michael A. Carroll Stadium. Head coach 
Brian Barnett's team looks to snap a three-game skid while Cincinnati comes in on the heels of a 1-0 win at Tulsa this past weekend. The Jags offense has slumbered of late, going scoreless the past three games, which included a pair of Horizon League losses.  
MATCH INFO 
	- Tuesday's match will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. at Carroll Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ as Greg Rakestraw (pxp) is on the call and live stats will be available at kickoff.
 
	-  Admission is just $5 for ages 13-and-up and just $2 for youth, ages 3-12. IUPUI students are admitted for FREE with a valid Crimson Card and parking is FREE during home events in lots 59, 63, 80 and 86. 
 
THE SERIES
	- IUPUI is just 2-6 all-time against Cincinnati and has dropped the last four matchups in the series. UC won last year's meeting, 3-1, in Cincinnati. 
 
	- IUPUI is 1-1 in the two prior meetings in Indianapolis, having won 3-2 in double overtime in 2014 and having been defeated 3-0 in October 2016. 
 
	- Riley Shives tallied for the Jaguars in last year's contest, netting his first career goal in the game's 13th minute off an assist from Alan Aguilar. Last year's contest saw all four goals scored in the opening 23 minutes. 
 
JAG SCRATCHES
	- IUPUI enters play at 3-7-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in Horizon League play after back-to-back losses to Oakland and Cleveland State after opening league play 2-0-1. The Jags have been outscored 17-10 on the season and been shutout six times, while blanking one foe of their own in a 2-0 win over future Horizon League foe Purdue Fort Wayne. 
 
	- Senior midfielder Pedro Valladao was named one of 30 national finalists for the Senior CLASS Award on Sept. 23. He was one of just two selections from the Horizon League and was the lone selection from the Division I schools in the state of Indiana. However, Valladao was not selected among the 10 national finalists, as announced on Oct. 11. 
 
	- Senior midfielder Yan Souza was named the Horizon League's Offensive Player of the Week after tallying the game-winner in the Jags' 2-1 win at Northern Kentucky in the game's 89th minute. Souza took a feed from Alan Aguilar and drove a shot off an NKU defender and into the open net. Cincinnati-native Chris Workman also scored his first career goal in that game as he was playing just minutes from his hometown.
 
	- Sophomore goalkeeper Quinn McCallion has made 29 saves in the Jaguars' last four matches combined, including a career-high 13 in the 2-2 draw at Milwaukee on Oct. 5. 
 
	- The Jaguars win at NKU was IUPUI's first regular season road win since September 2014 and first regular season league road win since October 2012. 
 
	- IUPUI recently launched year three of the Jaguars' 'Real Men Read' program, having worked with seven IPS Schools, spanning 16 fourth grade classrooms. 
 
	- Aguilar fueled the Jaguars' 2-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne, tallying goals in the 61st and 64th minutes. The winner came off assists from Gianni Catenacci and Fernando Borges and he added insurance just more than three minutes later by converting the fourth penalty kick of his career. 
 
	- Souza has a team-high four goals while Catenacci has a team-high four assists in 11 games. Aguilar is second on the team with three goals scored and both Kirezi Freddy and Valladao have two assists each. 
 
	- McCallion has been brilliant this season, registering a 1.35 goals against average and 58 saves in 1136 minutes of action. He registered his lone shutout of the season against Purdue Fort Wayne. 
 
	- Junior back Tommy Patacca leads the team with 1,070 minutes played and Catenacci is second with 1,063 minutes. 
 
	- IUPUI went 5-10-4 last season and 4-3-1 in Horizon League play, earning a spot in the league's postseason tournament. The Jags then won the program's first postseason match since 2007 by upsetting Green Bay in the opening round. IUPUI later took eventual league champion UIC to penalty kicks in the semifinals round. 
 
	- The Jaguars were picked to finish seventh in the Horizon League, according to the league's preseason polls.  
 
	- IUPUI returns its top two scorers from a season ago in senior midfielder Alan Aguilar (11 points) and sophomore back Corey Goede (eight points). In addition, McCallion (1.22 GAA) returns in net and five other starters - Tommy Patacca, Cameron Petersen, Anthony Saporito, Shives and Pedro Valladao - all return. 
 
	- All total, IUPUI returns 14 of the team's 17 goals from a season ago. 
 
	- Head coach Brian Barnett is in his fourth season on the Jaguars' sidelines. 
 
SCOUTING CINCINNATI
	- Cincinnati is 5-7-1 on the season and 2-2-1 away from home with true road wins at Bowling Green and Tulsa. The Bearcats are 1-1 against the Horizon League this season with a 3-2 overtime win over Cleveland State and an early season 2-0 loss at Wright State. 
 
	- Darryn Commissiong leads UC with five goals and 13 points while Creggton Charlton is next in line with four goals and nine points. Aerin West is tied with Commissiong with a team-high three assists.
 
	- UC has been outscored 25-20 and outshot 196-192 on the season. The Bearcats have allowed five penalty kicks on the year, while having yet to have been awarded one. 
 
	- In goal, Noah Lawrence has played 1063 of the team's 1199 minutes, logging a 1.61 goals against average and 50 saves with a .725 save percentage. He has one shutout and also has a shared shutout with backup Tyler Glasenapp.
