INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI swimming will hit the pool for the first time this season Thursday night at the Natatorium. The Jaguars will begin their season against the University of Indianapolis at 6 p.m.
New head coach
Damion Dennis will get his first look at his new squad in action against the Greyhounds. The Jaguars will be looking to build off of a second place finish for the women and a fourth place finish for the men in last season's Horizon League Championships.
This season begins with a meeting against the Greyhounds which has been the season-opening opponent for the last three seasons. Last season, the women's team won the dual meet 142-101 while the men fell 105-138.
Multiple school record holders return for the Jaguars. On the women's side,
Meagan Ronci returns as the 200 Free record holder and
Andrea Hanas,
Maggie Hatfield and
Aubrey Wing are all parts of record-holding relay teams.
Jackson Sandala is the men's 200 Free record holder and is also part of two relay teams that hold school records. The Jags also return backstroke record holders
Riley Lohse (100 Back) and
Nick Hanas (200 Back), as well as 200 Butterfly record holder
